Problem
Interviews with 42 design students at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk revealed a common struggle: lack of basic info about schedules, deadlines or classrooms. 80% reported wasting time weekly searching for basic info, and first-year students described the process as “confusing” and “stressful.” Lack of centralization creates frustration, wasted time, and stress, especially for first-year students navigating a new environment.

Key outcome & results
Pro Tip consolidates scattered academic resources into one platform. In prototype testing with students, tasks like finding a classroom or checking deadlines were completed faster compared to existing methods (emails, paper notes, word-of-mouth). Students highlighted reduced stress and a feeling of being “in control” of their daily routines.

Solution
The app was designed with a strong emphasis on UX research and peer feedback, ensuring it directly addresses students’ real needs. Pro Tip integrates AR navigation to guide students through the campus, an intuitive calendar for deadlines and assignments, and a centralized hub for resources and announcements. With its clean, student-friendly interface, the app transforms fragmented, chaotic information into a clear daily flow, reducing stress and helping students regain control over their academic life. Beyond solving immediate problems, Pro Tip has the potential to evolve into a long-term digital companion supporting everyday student experience.
