Pro tip
Overview
A student support platform designed to centralize academic information and help design students navigate schedules, deadlines, and campus spaces more efficiently.
Background
Interviews with 42 design students at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk revealed that essential academic information—such as schedules, deadlines, and classroom locations, was often scattered across emails, paper notes, and informal communication channels. As a result, students spent significant time each week searching for basic information needed to manage their studies.
The problem
Students often lack a single reliable source of academic information, forcing them to search across multiple channels to find schedules, deadlines, or classroom locations.
Results
Reduced the time required to find key academic information by consolidating schedules, deadlines, and resources into a single centralized platform.
Prototype testing showed that tasks such as locating classrooms or checking assignment deadlines were completed significantly faster than with existing methods (emails, notes, or peer communication).
Introduced a campus navigation feature that helps students quickly locate classrooms and navigate unfamiliar buildings, particularly supporting first-year students.
